The solid waste collection, transport, and disposal facilities are provided by LINDEL and a controlled land-fill is provided for non-toxic, non-hazardous, organic solid waste disposal within the Industrial Estates. Toxic, hazardous, and inorganic waste could be disposed of as may be arranged by the local authority (Biyagama Pradeshiya Sabha) with the approval of the Central Environmental Authority of Sri Lanka.
